Cotterell's 33-point game gives him Player of the Week award

Shooting guard Davion Cotterell (SG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for IRG Astros and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had the game-high 33 points adding three rebounds for IRG Astros in his team's victory, helping them to beat Lions (#5, 4-3) 75-70. Thanks to this victory IRG Astros moved-up to the 4th position in Cayman Islands league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but IRG Astros already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Cotterell has many years of experience at IRG Astros, through which he has constantly improved. Cotterell has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 30.0ppg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 51.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Joanki Montero-Espinal (G) of Burger King Warriors. He is a guard in his first season at Warriors. In the last game Montero-Espinal recorded an impressive 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Warriors to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Cayman FH (#9, 1-3) 80-45. Warriors' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Montero-Espinal is one of the most experienced players at Warriors and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Warriors' star - Borislav Djorjic. Djorjic scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Burger King Warriors, helping his team with a 80-45 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Cayman FH (#9, 1-3). Warriors needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Djorjic has a great season in Cayman Islands. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 10.2rpg (5th best).
